1/6/2010 Kiama Bicycle Users Group (BUG) have been running a programme called Kiama SHARE (Support Harmony and Road Etiquette) over the past 12 months. The project recognises drivers who show courtesy and respect to cyclists. BUG members record license plate details which are entered into a database and every 2 months a random winner is drawn. The scheme is designed to promote respect between both cyclists and drivers.

The new NSW BikePlan started as a  project to bring together the diverse stakeholders who support safe, healthy and sustainable cycling. This has now culminated in the release of a plan that will guide growth in the State’s bike-riding over the next decade and more.
 
Have your say on the NSW BikePlan?  Making the NSW BikePlan happen will rely on continuing feedback from the State’s cyclists and other stakeholders. The NSW Government is inviting participation in a conversation about the NSW BikePlan through the interactive forum Shape Your State. 

Join Bike Hub, Malvern Star and Giro in supporting Tour de Cure’s mission to raise funds to help cure cancer. Giro is the officical helmet sponsor for the tour. The winners of the Charity Category Jersey each day will each wear a Giro Atmos helmet  that will be decorated to match the Charity Catergory Jersey colour (see below).
On May 7th a team of 90 riders will head off from Sydney on route to the Sunshine Coast for this year’s Tour. The 10 day tour covers 1,400kms of some of the prettiest and most dangerous roads
